Cartoonist Chris Schweizer was born in Tucson, AZ at the tail end of 1980 to parents who are both classical musicians. He is 26 years old. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from Murray State University in 2004, and is currently a Sequential Art MFA candidate at the Atlanta branch of the Savannah College of Art and Design, where his wife Liz is the Admission Records Manager. He has completed one graphic novel (a co-project with his father, composer Mark Schweizer) called Giovanni Potatoe and the Pizzas of Love (available Christmas '07) and is hard at work on his second, Crogan's Vengeance, the first in a series coming in Spring of '08 through Oni Press.

Chris has, at various points, been a hotel manager, a movie theater projectionist, a guard at a mental institution, a martial arts instructor, a set builder, a legal assistant, a bearer of bad news (subpoenas and eviction notices), a church music leader, an art school model, a bartender, a car wash atendant, a bagboy, a delivery boy, a choirboy, a lawn boy, a sixth-grade social studies teacher, a janitor, a speakeasy proprieter, a video store clerk, a puppeteer for a children's television show, a muralist, and a lineworker at a pancake mix factory.
